About Hereford
Hereford is the seat of Deaf Smith County and the largest town southwest of Amarillo. Agriculture and cattle feeding drive the local economy, and the town supports its own hospital, schools and retail rather than depending entirely on Amarillo.
The housing stock is mostly established single-family homes, with entry prices that tend to run below Amarillo for a similar size and age. That price gap is why buyers who work locally, or who can handle the US-60 commute, look here.
